Job Title: IT Support Engineer – Pharmaceutical Industry

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to join our team in the Pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will provide technical support for IT systems, ensuring the seamless operation of hardware, software, and network infrastructure while adhering to industry compliance standards such as GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and ISO 27001. The role requires a proactive problem-solver who can manage incidents, support end-users, and work on IT projects within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide first and second-level IT support for hardware, software, and network issues.
* User Support & Training: Assist employees with IT-related queries, conduct training, and create user guides for software and systems.
* Infrastructure Management: Maintain and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and networking equipment.
* Compliance & Security: Ensure IT operations comply with GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and ISO 27001 standards, implementing necessary security measures.
* System Administration: Support Active Directory, Office 365, ERP, LIMS, Scanners and other business-critical applications.
* Incident & Change Management: Track and resolve IT incidents, document changes, and contribute to continuous improvement.
* Project Support: Assist in IT projects, including system upgrades, new technology implementations, and process improvements.
* Vendor Coordination: Work with external vendors to procure IT equipment and manage service contracts.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of IT support experience, preferably in a Pharmaceutical, Med Device, Biotech, or Life Sciences company.
* Technical Skills:
* Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Office 365, and ITSM tools.
* Familiarity with GxP-compliant IT environments and validation processes.
* Understanding of cloud computing, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, Firewalls).
* Experience supporting ERP, LIMS, MES, and QMS systems is a plus.
* Certifications: ITIL, Microsoft, or Cisco certifications (e.g., CompTIA, MCSA, CCNA, ITIL Foundation) are advantageous.
