Job Description
A Manufacturing Engineer is required for a leading high volume contract medical device/electronics manufacturing team in Cork.
This permanent role involves working closely with our client to maximize production output, ensure quality and regulatory compliance, and improve line yields.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team and be responsible for:
* Monitoring machine performance in real-time to optimize production.
* Specifying, installing, and supporting production equipment.
* SUPPORTING ongoing preventive maintenance activities to minimize machine downtime and maximize yield performance.
* Supporting line reconfiguration and machine moves.
* Providing technical reports on process issues.
* Providing Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input on new product developments.
* Carrying out process capability analyses and identifying corrective actions.
* Ensuring ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
* Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations.
* Completing an in-house training program.
* Understanding, using, and improving in-house procedures.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* NFQ Level 8 Degree in Engineering or lower level degree with suitable work experience (Electronic/Mechanical/Industrial).
* Experience in regulated high-volume manufacturing environments.
* Excellent equipment knowledge and process debug/troubleshoot skills.
* Good communication and influencing skills.
* A compliance mindset and attention to detail in following procedures and completing documentation.
* Lean practice implementation.
* Experience in automation (Robotics/PLCs/Pneumatics etc).
* Understanding of Process Capability and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) & Gauge Repeat & Reduction (GR&R).
