Opportunity for HVAC & Sprinkler Package Owner to join our Life Science team in Tralee.
The HVAC & Sprinkler Package Owner is responsible for overseeing the design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC and fire sprinkler systems within a project. The role ensures compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations while coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful package delivery.
* Act as the primary point of contact for HVAC and sprinkler system packages.
* Manage design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of HVAC and fire protection systems.
* Coordinate with internal teams (MEP, structural, electrical, and civil) and external contractors.
* Review and track project schedules, ensuring timely completion of assigned work packages.
* Review and approve HVAC and sprinkler system designs, ensuring compliance with industry codes.
* Ensure system integration with other MEP services, including electrical, plumbing, and fire alarm systems.
* Address technical queries and resolve design conflicts during construction.
* Monitor site activities and conduct quality checks to ensure proper installation.
* Work with procurement teams to source HVAC and fire suppression equipment/materials.
* Evaluate vendor proposals and approve technical specifications.
* Ensure contract deliverables align with project requirements.
* Maintain records of approvals, inspections, and system performance testing.
* Prepare status reports and escalate project risks or delays to management.
Minimum Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in HVAC and fire protection systems within Pharmaceutical or cleanroom projects.
* Experience managing MEP packages in large-scale Pharmaceutical and Cleanroom projects.
* Strong understanding of HVAC and fire protection codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, CIBSE, BS, or local standards).
* Project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and risk management.
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load calculation tools.
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Building Services, or related field.
* Relevant HVAC/Fire Protection certifications.
