Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, evaluate, and optimize design concepts to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Develop electrical building services designs/specifications from customer briefs.
* Conduct feasibility studies on new designs.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
* Manage project timelines and ensure successful delivery within set parameters.
* Lead and/or participate in design and review meetings.
* Generate designs in accordance with current codes, guidelines, and best practices.
* Develop cost estimates and tender documents.
* Direct other members of the design team in undertaking their roles and responsibilities.
* Undertake site inspections and prepare written reports on same.
* Generate production information and develop full product design documentation.
* Resolve client-related issues through problem-solving and troubleshooting designs.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, applying innovative solutions to your work.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* At least 3 years of post-graduate experience in Electrical Engineering Design.
* Chartered Engineer status or working towards it is advantageous.
* Strong knowledge of electrical building services design, building regulations, and relevant standards.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software such as Amtech, Dialux, or Relux.
* Experience in designing electrical systems for sectors like Commercial, Residential, Healthcare, and Industrial.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
