Amazon Web Services is looking to hire a highly motivated, customer-obsessed professional to provide support to our operating partner's Data Center Infrastructure Operations team across BJS Cluster as Data Center Technical Support Cluster Security Manager (CSM).
For the CSM role, the AWS Data Center Technical Support Security team is looking for a forward-thinking, results-oriented, innovative and inspirational leader with proven results building high-performing teams.
The candidate will have the ability to develop strategy, execute, and lead data center (DC) security across multiple sites.
As a CSM, you will be expected to implement and verify compliance with security procedures, standards, and policies.
You will champion new initiatives for the security team and oversee implementation in coordination with multiple business partner teams.
The candidate will have experience leading cross-functional teams, writing security strategies, driving processes to achieve industry-leading security, and driving down costs through process improvement and technology enhancement.
Key job responsibilities Build trust, establish and maintain customer relationships with data center business partners to execute a comprehensive strategy that enhances security while enabling our partners to build customer capacity.Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing security plans and security programs such as Emergency Response and Crisis Management, Physical Security, Incident Management, while coordinating site investigations with the Global Intelligence and Investigative team.Maintain an extensive knowledge of complex industry trends, current security issues, and security technology, and update management on risk and threats against AWS employees and partners' infrastructure.Perform continual risk analysis for the facilities, particularly with respect to level of crime, terrorism, workplace violence, and threats from natural and man-made disasters.Provide leadership and best practices on security policy and practices, looking around corners to identify vulnerabilities early and designing and implementing a strategy to close existing or emerging security gaps and seams.Provide leadership and clear guidance and direction to AWS staff as well as contract security staff to achieve current and long-range strategic security program objectives.Support regional and global security leadership in conducting investigations of significant threats and/or the loss or misappropriation of assets.Develop and implement security standards and procedures for all contract site security coordinators.Liaison with local, state, federal, and international law enforcement agencies for the locations.Both domestic and international travel are required. BASIC QUALIFICATIONSv 7+ years of experience managing contract security and physical security operation programs such as Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems, 5+ years creating process improvement procedures, 5+ years managing a team of individual contributors and vendors.
v Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in security or related fields; i.e., logistics, transportation, facilities, amongst others.
v Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint to make narrative reports or presentations in a timely manner, proficient English verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSv Working knowledge of security software systems such as Lenel; PSP, CPP, PMP Certification.
v Experience in project management.
Ability to interpret project objectives, develop project schedules, and manage adherence to established timetables.
v Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment where numerous systems/applications/software are highly dependent.
v Strong data-driven decision-making and analytical skills, experience in working with overseas partners with an understanding of diversity.
