A Data Center Engineering Operations Technician is a hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder. This role involves working semi-autonomously in operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in a data center, executing project scopes of basic complexity, and providing timely escalation for all facilities-related issues within the data center.
Key Responsibilities
* Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and encourage a world-class safety culture.
* Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS's), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), and Transformers.
The ideal candidate will have +4 years of operational knowledge and experience with electrical and mechanical equipment, be apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical/Mechanical field, and hold a valid driver's license. A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline is preferred, as well as familiarity with Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) control systems and data collection/trending.
