Purchasing Assistant / Data Administrator
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to fill the role of Data Administrator / Purchasing Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, building relationships, and ensuring smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Raise purchase orders for materials and services in line with production requirements.
• Expediting orders, liaising with suppliers to ensure orders are received in full and on time, with the aim of reducing supplier lead times.
• Identify delivery date issues that may affect production and escalate these to the scheduling department.
• Develop and maintain successful supplier relationships by communicating effectively and resolving any order, delivery, or invoice issues.
• Manage multiple databases, ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and transparency for all users of the platform.
• Foster strong working relationships across various departments, particularly in a multi-site environment.
• Assist with cost-saving projects and perform additional administration tasks associated with the job role within an office environment.
Required Skills and Qualities:
• Strong organizational skills and excellent customer service abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a flexible approach to work.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality, as well as an enthusiastic and proactive attitude.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
Essential Criteria:
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• IT proficiency, including familiarity with relevant systems and tools, such as database management and data capture software.
