Job Summary
We are looking to add a Head of Operations to our team in Dundalk, Ireland. Reporting to the General Manager Ireland, this role involves managing resources, budget, and personnel to drive productivity and enhance overall performance.
This position includes:
* Managing day-to-day operations;
* Building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organisational targets are met;
* Working with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution of operational plans and alignment of organizational goals;
* Developing corporate strategy and leading business strategy within the team under your direction;
* Championing a culture of continuous improvement and driving best practices;
* Providing direction and leadership to the team;
* Implementing HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated team;
* Coordinating resource allocation to optimize production processes;
* Managing product quality and implementing corrective action as needed;
* Minimizing additional costs during the production process;
* Managing workplace relations with Unions;
* Performing other duties as reasonably assigned;
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
* A bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's or MBA degree is preferred);
* A minimum of 10+ years of experience in a similar role;
* Experience with Low Voltage switchgear manufacture in a high-paced environment;
* Demonstrated ability to meet operational deadlines;
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles;
* Experience in utilising ERP Systems desirable;
* Ability to identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems;
* Able to utilize tools to monitor departmental cost and cost trends, continuously striving to improve value;
* Possesses strong business acumen and proven ability to improve key financial results;
* Excellent communication skills and networking abilities;
* Strong Leadership and people management skills and abilities;
* Strong innovation skills and creativity;
* Ability to think strategically, define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions;
* Capacity to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and adjust plans as necessary;
* Eligible to work in Ireland/Relocation may be considered;
