About the Role
Musgrave is currently seeking a Management Accountant to join its Finance team on a 12-month contract.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide support to the finance department in management and financial reporting, focusing on weekly and monthly management accounts production.
* Be a key player in quarter-end hard close, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
* Complete weekly and periodic management reporting information for the internal management team.
* Offer sales, margin, and cost information as required across the business.
* Produce weekly management accounts within tight deadlines.
* Engage with management to provide insight, guidance, and challenge on cost control and lead change to generate cost reductions.
* Support senior management in producing other reports and information as needed.
* Ensure year-end and quarterly hard close balance sheet integrity.
* Timely closure of relevant ledgers and input of necessary journals into SAGE in line with group and divisional requirements.
* Accurate and concise balance sheet reconciliations completed monthly and quarterly in accordance with group requirements.
Requirements
* Acountancy qualification to ACA, CIMA, or ACCA standard.
* A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to plan and prioritize workloads to agreed deadlines.
* Effective communication skills at all levels.
* Ability to work independently.
* Desirable: 3rd-level qualification in Business, Finance, or Accounting; exposure to SAGE and Oracle systems.
