My client, a highly successful Irish food manufacturer, is seeking a Food Safety and Quality Technical Specialist to provide administrative support at each phase of the supply chain from source to consumer. Responsibilities of this Food Safety and Quality Technical Specialist include:
* Assist in the implementation and upkeep of Food Safety and Quality Management systems, including procedures, policies, and records.
* Ensure products meet specifications through internal monitoring and assessments.
* Handle product specifications and documentation required for quality management, including SOPs and QC records; daily completion of product attribute records.
* Provide nutritional information for products, through calculations and/or analysis as needed.
* Optimize Product Quality Inspection points to enhance quality awareness and maintain consistent product standards.
* Coordinate customer complaints investigations, collaborating with relevant internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
* Report non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
* Maintain full product traceability at all process stages.
* Attend meetings as requested and contribute positively.
* Complete project work to improve Food Safety and Quality initiatives within the company.
* Maintain and follow up on records.
Requirements for this Food Safety and Quality Technical Specialist include:
* A Science/Food Science Qualification, at least at the diploma level.
* At least 1 year of QA/QC experience in a food manufacturing environment (preferred).
* Flexibility, quick learning ability, problem-solving skills, and good communication and organizational skills.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and aptitude for making informed decisions.
