Overview:
An expanding life science manufacturer in the West of Ireland is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS). This is a pivotal role within the site's senior leadership team, responsible for shaping and delivering all EHS strategies and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership: Provide leadership and management to the EHS team, including direct oversight of the EHS Manager.
* EHS Programmes: Establish and implement effective EHS programmes in compliance with legislative and corporate requirements, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
* Compliance & Strategy: Develop integrated Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Energy Management Systems. Provide strategic guidance to ensure compliance with licences, legislation, and best practices.
* Audits & Assessments: Oversee audits, assessments, surveys, and reports to maintain the highest EHS standards.
* Emergency Response: Develop and direct emergency response, loss prevention, occupational health services, training, occupational hygiene programmes, and process safety initiatives.
* Future Planning: Identify future EHS needs and ensure alignment with recognised EHS management standards and industry best practices.
Experience & Qualifications:
* BSc in Occupational Safety & Health (Level 8) or equivalent.
* 8-10+ years of EHS experience within life science manufacturing (pharma preferred).
* Proven leadership skills, with a strong track record of people management and development.
* MSc in Environmental Health & Safety.
