Associates Degree in Radiography - Interim Clinical Coordinator, College of Health Professions
The Associates Degree in Radiography program seeks an interim clinical coordinator for an immediate Fall 2024 semester start. This is a 5-month benefits-eligible non-tenure track faculty position. Duties include coordinating clinicals site placements and monitoring progress and competencies of student placed in clinical. This position will work in collaboration and under the direction of the Interim Radiography Program Director.
This is a full-time position, requiring flexible working hours to accommodate program needs.
The Interim Clinical Coordinator is expected to:
* Teach didactic course(s) in a traditional setting.
* Correlate clinical education with didactic education to assure effectiveness.
* Instruct laboratory courses.
* Evaluate and facilitate clinical education effectiveness through a schedule of regular visits to the clinical education site(s).
* Facilitate appropriate clinical instruction, evaluation, and supervision in program-affiliated clinical settings.
* Develop and facilitate instructional units and assessment of student learning.
* Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage students.
* Provide regular and timely feedback to students and assist students by appointment.
* Advise students in matters related to academics, clinical progress, attendance, and appropriate conduct.
* Maintain and report student grades and attendance in accordance with university policies.
* Administer and maintain clinical compliance requirements for all students including overseeing the Castlebranch compliance system.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution;
Must hold a current unrestricted certification and active registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) or Radiologist Assistant (R.R.A.);
Two years of clinical experience in the professional discipline;
One year of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program;
Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
* An earned Master of Science in Radiologic Sciences, Education, or other relevant master’s degree is preferred; applicants with a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences, Education, or other relevant baccalaureate degree will be considered.
* Multi-credentialed in radiography and computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MR), and/or mammography (M).
* Current State of Connecticut Radiographer license.
* Prior experience in teaching at the college level and proficient use of an online course management system is preferred.
* Experience with clinical coordination preferred
