Job Description:
We are seeking highly skilled Civil/Structural/Mechanical Site Engineers to join our team in Cork. Our client is a well-established consultancy with extensive experience in the design, administration, and supervision of civil, structural, and environmental engineering projects in the private and public sectors.
Their projects include corporate, commercial, industrial, leisure, education, and health-related schemes. The ideal candidate will possess a 3rd-level Engineering or Construction degree, minimum 2-3 years of relevant site experience, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Be the onsite presence for the consulting engineering business
* Supervise the delivery of the project by the contractor
* Record and report on all site-based activities
* Liaise with the design team and contractors to provide guidance on site, schedule works with subcontractors
* Track and approve any changes
* Monitor H&S on site and site security
* Attend progress meetings and ensure all reported issues are dealt with in a timely manner
* Attend site inspections, prepare snagging reports, and ensure handover of work delivered
* Carry out other duties as may arise from time to time
Requirements:
* 3rd-level Engineering or Construction degree
* Minimum 2-3 years of relevant site experience
* Ability to practically solve/relay problems in a construction/technical environment
* Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and regulations
* Good leadership skills and attention to detail
* Strong Communication skills
* Experience in using Microsoft Office Software
* AutoCAD/Microsoft Project experience ideal but not essential
