Job DescriptionAssociate Specialist Automation Engineer An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Process Automation team, the Associate Specialist Automation Engineer will proactively provide technical Front-Line Support (FLS) to Process Manufacturing and Development Lab Areas. The Associate Specialist Automation Engineer, under the supervision and guidance of the Sr. Automation Engineer or Automation Lead, will support DeltaV and OEM systems through implementation of process control and troubleshooting, while actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in compliance with cGMPs, supporting run the business activities in addition to maintaining site safety and quality culture.What you will do:Bring energy, knowledge, innovation, and leadership to carry out the following:Responsible for FLS activities in support of day-to-day Production, Engineering and Lab areas within the BioNX facility at Dunboyne. This includes both Preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnostics and troubleshooting and end user support and development.Under guidance of Senior automation engineers, complete root cause investigation and issue resolution, including change implementation to DeltaV and OEM platforms.Maintain automation systems and associated documentation in a validated state in line with Quality Management System. Partner within a cross-functional team to implement new technologies / software / instruments that can simplify or increase efficiency in manufacturing and administrative processes.Participate and actively support Digital Transformation initiatives involving system integrations, data connectivity, validation methods and value-based optimization of manufacturing via process control system.Embody Safe by Choice – know and follow the Safety, Health and Environment guidelines and work towards company safety and environment goals. QualificationsIn order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science discipline or equivalent practical experience of automation control systems.One to three years’ experience in an Automation Engineering function within Biologics, Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices industries.Experience or knowledge of control systems (DeltaV, Siemens TIA, OSI PI) advantageous but not essential.Knowledge of computer system validation/SDLC or change control procedures.
