Job description: Job Opportunity: Project Engineers. Are you ready to take the next step in your civil engineering career with a leading consultancy involved in some of Ireland’s most significant infrastructure projects? We are looking to expand our team with dynamic Project Engineers who will play a crucial role in the end-to-end delivery of high-profile projects. Our projects include the N17/N18 Gort to Tuam Motorway, Luas Cross City, N4 Collooney to Castlebaldwin, and N8 Dunkettle Interchange.
The Role: As a Project Engineer, you will be integral to the success of our infrastructure projects. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of linear infrastructure projects such as Highways, Greenways, and Active Travel Schemes, and will be based out of our Naas, Navan, or Cork offices with the flexibility of working from home. This role is ideal for someone with previous design experience looking to advance their career or for those with construction experience in infrastructure projects seeking a role within a consultancy firm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the delivery of linear infrastructure projects, focusing on areas such as Alignment, Drainage, and other related disciplines.
* Develop 3D modelling and digital outputs.
* Provide mentorship and training to junior staff members.
* Manage and prioritize workloads effectively, including team management.
* Prepare and contribute to technical reports and design documentation.
* Coordinate the development of design drawings.
* Participate in internal and external meetings, and assist in the development of pricing submissions and resource plans.
* Perform additional duties as required within the scope of the position.
Skills and Qualifications:
* A Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification.
* Experience in geometry design, pavement design, or ancillary infrastructure design.
* Working towards Chartership is highly desirable.
* Approximately 3 – 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
* Proficiency in Civil 3D, MX Roads, In Roads, WinDES, Flow, and geometric and drainage design (or similar software).
* Experience working as part of multi-disciplinary teams.
* Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A proactive team player who can also work independently when necessary.
* Competent in using all Microsoft Office products.
* Knowledge of and commitment to health and safety regulations.
* A Full Driving License is preferable.
* Current right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
