Procurement Director
This position is based at our friendly office in Roskilde where you will join our Procurement Area. The area is responsible for developing the procurement organization, the strategy, and services.
The Procurement Director role offers a central role in BEC’s tech transformation and leads a highly specialized unit with the competencies required in a professional procurement function. In the position as Procurement Director, you will work closely with Executive Management, Finance, Legal & Compliance, Risk & Security, the development organization as well as the JN Data Procurement department.
At BEC, we work in a hybrid remote model, coming into the office 4 days a week and working remotely for 1 day. Your direct manager will be Chief Financial Officer Christian Pedersen-Bjergaard.
Primary tasks and responsibilities include:
* Ensure optimization of price and commercial terms in vendor negotiations.
* Ensure that BEC’s purchases of goods and services are compliant with the procurement process and support BEC’s fulfilment of regulatory requirements.
* Provide active support to system- and contract owners in the line organization when maintaining existing vendor agreements as well as when establishing new agreements.
* Challenge procurement requirements from the line organization, where e.g. functionality is covered already by existing solutions and/or contracts.
* Provide strong and emphatic leadership for an international team of 10 procurement professionals.
* Responsibility for BEC’s Facility Management function.
To succeed you will have:
* At least five years of experience from a similar position.
* Knowledge of what good looks like and thrives for best practices as well as challenging as-is.
* Team spirit with good stakeholder and collaborative skills and skilled to navigate among many stakeholders.
* Desire and responsibility to make things happen.
* Ability to manage robust and efficient processes.
* Ability to exercise good leadership and lead BEC leadership foundation.
* Ability to cooperate across the organization and support continuous transformation of BEC.
* Confidence and integrity, empathy, and a positive attitude to life.
* Fluency in English and Danish (written and spoken).
* Relevant educational background at Masters level.
