A leading biotechnology company is seeking an Operations Technician to join their team in Sligo on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Operations Team Lead, the Operations Technician will be responsible for executing manufacturing activities.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in maintaining a safe, GMP-compliant work environment at all times.
* Become competent and trained on all unit operations including tableting, blistering, labelling, packaging, and antigen manufacture, plus any manufacturing process or capabilities that may be introduced in the future.
* Operate manufacturing equipment, including setup, operation, cleaning, and maintenance where applicable.
* Provide input into the creation and maintenance of area SOPs and batch records.
* Perform and document operations in accordance with cGMPs.
* Perform environmental monitoring.
* Implement contamination control within cleanroom environments.
* Flexibility is required due to the company's start-up nature; shift patterns will be introduced in the future.
Ideal Background:
* Desirably hold an ordinary degree in a technical discipline (pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology). A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry.
* At least 3 years' experience in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry, with operational experience in a GMP environment.
* Experience in cleanroom environments.
* Experience in aseptic processing would be advantageous.
