General Manager - Cork, IrelandThe General Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of operations our Cork facility which focus on the manufacture of Orthopedic implants. Operations include Inspection, Finishing, Shotpeening, Plastics Machining and CNC Machining. The operating functions include safety, production, quality, engineering, supply chain and customer service. The general manager has full P&L accountability and drives continuous improvement initiatives to ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction and profitability. This position will be located in Cork, Ireland.Principle ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the strategic vision and direction for the campus, aligned with the company’s short-term and long-term goals and objectivesDrive a Lean Business System culture and effective management of the daily operations of the campus, ensuring optimal safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory as well as compliance with all regulatory requirementsOversee the financial performance of the campus, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue planning and execution, cost control, profitability and cash flow analysis and improvementEnsure key manufacturing metrics and key performance indicator systems are consistently tracking the appropriate measures and provoking appropriate responsive behavior.Oversee and effectively drive New Product Introduction (NPI) execution to drive results on time, on quality and on costBuild, Lead, coach, and develop a high-performance team of managers and supervisors across multiple functions and disciplinesFoster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the campusEstablish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, regulators, and corporate functionsIdentify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments for the campus products and services in collaboration with the commercial teamManage the capital expenditure planning in alignment with the company technology roadmap needs, capacity and demand, and cashflowPlay an active and significant role in the implementation and advancement of the S&OP process.Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and values Qualification RequirementsCredentials/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. Five to ten years manufacturing operations leadership experience with full P&L accountability.Demonstrated track record of significant performance improvement through the successful development of a lean culture and implementation of the lean tools.Must be able to commute to facility in Cork, Ireland Experience/Educational/Training Preferred:Experience managing in a regulated environment (ex.: EMA, Automotive, Aerospace, etc.) is an advantage, although not required). Previous multi-site responsibility is preferred.
