Principal Ecologist
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Ecologist to join our team in a nationwide role with flexible work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage individual contracts to deliver high-quality ecological consultancy services.
* Provide expert ecological input for various projects.
* Plan, conduct, and supervise site ecological surveys and fieldwork.
* Develop and implement Construction Environmental Management Plans.
* Conduct Appropriate Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments.
* Write technical reports and other deliverables.
* Manage quality and delivery of contracts on time.
* Provide expert witness at Oral Hearings.
* Develop excellent relationships with clients and design teams.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in ecology or related subject.
* Minimum 10 years post-graduate experience in environmental consultancy.
* Member of CIEEM, CIWEM, or equivalent professional body.
* Experience in oral hearing process and expert witness role.
* Detailed knowledge of wildlife and conservation legislation.
* Excellent technical report writing skills.
* Experience in Construction Environmental Management Plans.
* Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills.
* Full clean driving licence.
