Position Summary: The Inventory Control Coordinator/ Material Handler position manages inventory through database and maintain levels required daily to meet distribution demands.
Responsibilities: O Perform all necessary inventory transactions for materials & components being received into stock or issued out of stock for Production or Customer Service orders. O Perform necessary data entry into ERP system to reflect movement of materials and components utilised for production of equipment or fulfilment of Service orders. O Maintain accurate and complete counts of all inventory items in both the stockroom locations and as represented in the ERP system.
Conduct periodic cycle counts and physical audits to reconcile inventory levels between stockroom and ERP system. O Prepare, package and physically issue materials and components to Production in accordance with respective Shop Orders, Pick Lists or Bills-of-Material, verifying accuracy of Part No., quantity and Serial or Lot Number, as may apply. O Monitor and report status of all materials stocked on a Min/Max basis to ensure adequate quantities are always available. Initiate orders for consumable materials as requested. O Assist the Production Department and the QC/Receiving Department as may be needed from time-to-time. O Conduct various administrative functions as required in support of Quality Department activities. O Resolve discrepancies involving proper identification, quantity, location or inventory status of all materials and components utilised in the production function. O Good communication skills are required as this role interacts with many people on a daily basis.
O Evaluate current procedures and propose process improvements that can increase accuracy, efficiency, or productivity of activities for stores. O Perform inventory analyses to identify and segregate slow-moving or obsolete items. O Coordinate with Purchasing Department for items that can be returned to vendors or require some other disposition. O Prepare materials and related documentation for transfer to other ABEC warehouse locations or process incoming inventory transfers accordingly. O Execute other tasks as assigned. O Ability to travel when required. O Will play an active role in identifying and driving Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunity.
Qualifications: O Leaving Certificate minimum.
O 3 years post graduate work in a related field or function.
O Typical work is in a manufacturing environment or customer's site.
O Forklift Driving license a plus in addition manual handling training.
