Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity in Cork, Ireland for a graduate to work within our Traffic Engineering & Consulting Team, one of the largest dedicated Traffic Engineering Teams in the UK&I. This team focuses on developing engineering measures to achieve a safe and efficient movement and interaction of pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles on our roads.
Candidates will use industry leading computer software and BIM modelling programmes while working on a variety of different projects including:
1. Road & Street design
2. Cycle lane design
3. Bus Priority and BRT Design
4. Streetscape improvement projects
5. Traffic management planning and design
6. Traffic signal design
7. Traffic signage design
8. Traffic modelling (micro-simulation)
Qualifications
1. BEng in Civil Engineering, General Engineering, with a 2:1 (or equivalent) or above
2. MEng in Civil Engineering, General Engineering, with a 2:1 (or equivalent) or above would be an advantage
3. Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive
4. Good report writing skills are beneficial
5. Ability to structure & prioritise work effectively through close cooperation with the team as a whole
6. Ability to work in a team and independently without losing initiative & focus
