Job Description:
A fantastic opportunity to join our Trane Ireland team in Dublin. The role will provide a key interface between customers, service back office, and technicians, dealing with a high volume of orders and enquiries, coordinating multiple and at times conflicting priorities to ensure customer satisfaction.
To provide electrical and mechanical repair/service to all Chiller/Rooftop equipment (compressors, driers, EXVs, TEVs, control panels) at customers' premises.
Responsibilities:
* Attend customer sites to perform preventative maintenance on all Chiller/Rooftop equipment.
* Maintain verbal and written communications with customers and others in a professional manner.
* Consult with technical or office-based personnel to achieve a clear understanding of specific job requirements as necessary.
* Consult with coordinators to ensure that all services under contract are completed to meet the details of the contract and to the correct timeframe.
* Consult with customers to ensure that any work conducted is with their approval.
* Request additional parts on a timely basis to enable proper workflow.
* Inform coordination of any completed work or delays in works in a timely manner to enable the allocation of the next job, avoiding any lost time.
* Complete the electronic Engineers’ Job sheets.
* Operate according to Health & Safety Legislation guidelines.
* Ensure all general and site safety issues are adhered to.
* Relate any specific training needs.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a technician in the HVAC business.
* Project Management qualification or experience.
* Excellent phone and people skills.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Key Competencies:
* Ability to work confidently and efficiently with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel & Access to produce correspondence and documents and to maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets, and databases.
* Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
* Highly client-driven and initiative-taking.
* Commercial acumen.
* Flexibility and pragmatism in respect of the demands of the role and the seasonal nature of the business.
* Strong technical bias to problem solving.
