Tap Retail is a fast-moving Enterprise Ireland High Potential Start-Up (HPSU) based in Sandyford. We're revolutionising local shopping and delivery through our innovative online platform that connects local businesses with customers through a seamless shop local and same-day delivery service. Launched in January 2021, we've evolved from our MVP to a comprehensive platform including mobile apps for customers, retailers, and drivers (April 2023), with our enhanced website launched in November 2023.
About the Role
We're looking for someone who's equal parts creative and strategic. You'll be the voice and visual storyteller of Tap Retail & our partner retailers – creating compelling social content, supporting product promotions, and building out marketing assets that resonate with our target users. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a startup environment, can take ownership, and wants to shape the direction of marketing from the ground up as we expand into new areas and further enhance our award-winning platform.
Key Responsibilities
* Social Media Content: Design scroll-stopping graphics and visuals for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other platforms using Canva or Figma.
* UGC & Content Creation: Create or guide user-generated content, short videos, and stories that capture real product usage.
* Customer Acquisition: Develop and execute strategies to increase reach, engagement, and conversion across digital channels for both B2B (retailers) and B2C (customers).
* Print & Digital Assets: Design marketing collateral for both online and offline campaigns (e.g., flyers, posters, wobblers with trackable QR codes, packaging inserts).
* Email Marketing: Plan, write, and design engaging email campaigns to nurture and convert leads.
* In-App Promotions: Collaborate with the product team to design and implement promotional banners and pop-ups within the Tap Retail app.
* Marketing Strategy: Lead marketing efforts with fresh ideas, data-driven thinking, and a results-oriented mindset aligned with our Go-To-Market strategy.
* Content Calendar Management: Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely publishing across all channels.
* SEO Optimisation: Implement SEO best practices to improve visibility and organic traffic, complementing our existing SEO and Google Ads efforts.
* Analytics & Reporting: Track campaign performance, provide insights, and suggest optimisations based on data.
* Event Support: Assist with marketing for launch events and community engagement initiatives, including our upcoming Multipoint feature launch.
* In-store Activation: Help develop and execute in-store marketing activation strategies to drive app downloads and user growth.
We'd Love to See:
* A background in digital marketing, content creation, or retail marketing
* Strong design skills using Canva, Figma, or similar tools
* Experience creating short-form video or UGC-style content (bonus if you can shoot/edit!)
* Having a camera or photography skills is a big plus
* Portfolio of past work (social campaigns, emails, visuals, etc.)
* Prior experience working in or with eCommerce platforms/startups
* Understanding of both B2B and B2C marketing approaches
* Experience with in-store activation and local business marketing
* Knowledge of marketing analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc.)
* Understanding of paid digital advertising (Meta, Google Ads, etc.)
* Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences
* Community and influencer engagement experience
* A proactive, leadership mindset – you're someone who owns your projects and isn't afraid to suggest bold ideas
