The company operates a flexible working environment. A willingness and ability to travel frequently to company main office locations across Western and Eastern Europe is essential.Role overview:The CFO will have both a strategic focus and a short-term transformational goal. Looking at day-to-day, ongoing operations, while also helping to analyze, strategize, and grow the company’s financial position. This seasoned strategist not only will understand current accounting practices and trends, but also will have experience raising capital and adapting to change, whether it’s through growth or downsizing. This CFO position will be a key member of the Executive leadership team.This is a Global role with financial and operational activities across multiple countries.Objectives of role:Maturing the company’s finance function such that it is a proactive, dependable and responsive enabler of growth for a fast-growing €100m+ Revenue company, with an emphasis on establishing external credibility.Analyze company current financial practices and create a change management plan for improvements, including teams structure, systems and consolidation of duties.Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to improve cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company’s financial strategy.Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same.Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization.Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows.Create an advanced commercial financial strategy, supporting commercial operations with pricing models and competitive commercial strategies for success.Identify opportunities for cost mitigation and streamlining activities that will allow for more sustainable growth.Comply with national and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action.Responsibilities:Work with senior managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure compliance and reporting.Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement.Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives.Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for earnings calls, management team, and rest of company.Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities.Required skills and qualifications:Experience in complex, global, matrix organizations.Global knowledge and understanding of financial reporting in multiple jurisdictions.Experience with large scale finance transformation activities.Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.Working knowledge of how to raise capital outside traditional lines of credit.Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.Preferred skills and qualifications:Understanding of VCs, PE or IPO processes and practices.Experience in mergers and acquisitions and investor relations.Executive experience with SaaS business models and their associated revenue recognition.Candidate Background:Small to medium Capital Markets/ FinTech/Consulting/Software Development or related companies with global footprint.Experience working with a commercially focused organization.Experience in transforming businesses, with an understanding of the challenges of significant change.Experience with working in Product and Technology organizations.Experience with globally distributed teams.Remuneration:An attractive base salary and bonus scheme and LTIP potential commensurate with the candidate’s experience will be offered.
