As a modern creative organization, we hire aesthetically-driven designers who have a strong process that can be applied across a range of deliverables. Our Brand Designers help define and execute digital focused creative, brand identities, marketing campaigns, brand partnerships, and content creation. The ideal candidate is responsible for creating visually stunning and engaging designs for multimedia projects, including websites, apps, video content, and social media. Candidates should possess a strong background in digital design as well as the ability to maintain an overarching brand aesthetic across different channels with an elevated visual taste. This is an opportunity to join the founding team in Squarespace's new creative outpost. This is a hybrid role, you will report to the Brand Design Manager in our New York office headquarters.
Who We're Looking For
* 4+ years of experience as a designer at agencies, studios or in-house
* You will have a strong understanding of steps necessary to take a project from concept to launch.
* Able to produce high-quality designs that adhere to brand guidelines, ensuring consistency and cohesiveness across all digital touchpoints
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome design challenges
* Affinity for consistency, color, typography, photography, and animation
* You will communicate a clear design vision and creative intent
* Broad awareness of design and technology trends
* Good understanding and background in visual, web and interaction design
* Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Figma, Sketch, After Effects
* Experience with prototyping tools, 2D and 3D motion, or video editing

Cash Compensation Range: $85,500 – $138,000 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
