The Group is structured across two divisions: Ornua Foods and Ornua Ingredients. Ornua Foods is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands, including Ireland’s most successful food export, Kerrygold, as well as Kerrygold Dubliner, Pilgrims Choice, Forto and BEO milk powders.
Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products, for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers across the world, and for managing volatility through de-risking and trading strategies.

Why this role is Valuable
The Project Manager will assist in the planning, executing, and managing IT projects and enhancements, working closely with senior project managers, business analysts, and engagement teams. This role will provide day-to-day support in managing the project and enhancement backlog, ensuring tasks are tracked and completed on time. The Project Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of projects and enhancements while supporting continuous improvement efforts across business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
* Support the management of IT projects and enhancements, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and within scope.
* Assist in the creation of project plans, timelines, and resource allocation in collaboration with senior project managers and business analysts.
* Track and monitor the progress of projects, identifying any potential risks or delays.
* Participate in regular status meetings and provide updates on ongoing tasks and backlog items.
* Work closely with business analysts and the local engagement team to manage and prioritise the project and enhancement backlog.
* Ensure backlog items are appropriately categorised, scoped, and aligned with business objectives.
* Help coordinate resources and team efforts to address high-priority items in the backlog.
* Support the documentation of project enhancements and collaborate with business analysts to communicate updates to stakeholders.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
* Assist in facilitating communication between business leads, stakeholders, and IT teams to ensure project objectives are clear and aligned.
* Help coordinate meetings, workshops, and presentations with cross-functional teams to discuss project and enhancement progress.
* Provide day-to-day support to project teams and respond to queries from stakeholders.
Process Improvement:
* Collaborate with IT teams to streamline workflows and work processes for project and enhancement delivery.
* Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks and issues, escalating to senior management when necessary.
* Maintain risk and issue logs to ensure visibility and timely resolution of project challenges.
* Other ad-hoc tasks and projects as may be required.
Key Requirements:
* Relevant Project Management qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, and/or 2-5 years of experience in project management or coordination, preferably in IT or technology-related projects.
* Familiarity with managing project backlogs and enhancements.
* Ability to assist in creating project plans, timelines, and resource allocations. Experience managing project budgets is desirable.
* Knowledge of IT systems and processes.
* Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Ability to work collaboratively with senior project managers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
* Some travel may be required from time to time to other Ornua locations.
