Job Description
We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join our team in Ireland. In this role, you will manage and expand the B2B customer base, fostering strong, profitable relationships throughout the region. This role is crucial in achieving our strategic sales objectives, not only by retaining revenue from existing customers but also by expanding our customer base through a hands-on, consultative, value-add approach.
As a pivotal commercial advisor, you will be committed to mutual growth with your customers by leveraging your industry knowledge and technical expertise. This is a multifaceted role where your industry acumen, technical knowledge, and highly developed relationship skills will give you a real competitive edge that will enhance your personal success as well as the strength of our brand. The Area Sales Manager will report directly to the Ireland Operations Manager and will have the following:
Responsibilities
* Maintaining and growing our sales revenue by working closely with our B2B customers and our prospects in Ireland, acting as a commercial advisor whose aim is to provide mutual growth;
* Helping to achieve the country sales budget of the professional channel through strong account management and helping installing customers to win business opportunities using both pull and push strategies;
* Provide regular structured account review meetings with customers;
* Growing the customer base across the territory by implementing a proactive policy towards new business;
* Developing multi-level relationships with existing customers by providing timely and comprehensive technical information about our products and/or services as well as commercial quotations that address the needs of the customer’s project;
* Support customers with technical challenges, both on site and at their premises, through detailed advice and a problem-solving mindset;
* Prepare regional plans after analyzing the market, understanding competitive activity, mapping key accounts and proposing new activity that will help the company to grow its business and increase its success;
* Provide reporting into the company CRM system to provide long-term knowledge that will help improve our interaction and support of our customers;
* Constantly grow knowledge about the wide range of product solutions provided by the company as well as maintaining a good level of understanding on the relevant standards which need to be met on projects in our industry.
Qualifications
* Education Level Required: Level 6 qualification from a Further Education and Training (FET) or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field;
* Demonstrated Excellence in Technical Sales: Solid record of achievements within the Irish construction sector, ideally encompassing sales to installation professionals and engagement in commercial specification projects;
* Proactive and Driven: Highly self-motivated, with proven initiative and a consistent track record of surpassing sales targets;
* Advanced Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels, discussing industry-specific technology, trends, and solutions comprehensively with both customers and prospects;
* Influential Negotiator: Capable of driving business outcomes through effective persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building skills;
* Robust Relationship Management: Extensive experience in fostering outstanding relationships across diverse customer roles, from field engineers to executive levels, supported by professional sales training;
* Technical and IT Proficiency: Technically savvy with advanced IT literacy, coupled with a strong commitment to continuous learning and customer support;
* Certifications: Possession of a full and clean driving license.
