The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager role has a strong background in people management and technical accounting, with experience working in a multinational company, preferably originating from a Big 4 firm. They will be based in Galway but can work remotely 2 days a week, managing a local team of 4 and overseeing technical accounting tasks for a broader team of up to 10.
Key Responsibilities
* Accounting and Analysis: The Finance Manager will be responsible for monthly and annual financial reporting, as well as global gross margin analysis. This includes providing technical guidance on gross margin calculations and accounting, reviewing internal controls and compliance procedures, and assisting the team in delivering an efficient month-end close.
* People Leader: As a true people leader, the Finance Manager will mentor, coach, and develop their team, helping them to flourish. This involves working with team members on career development plans, utilizing training resources, and sharing technical knowledge gained from Big 4 experience.

Requirements
* A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
