Sales and Business Development Manager
Our client is a leading supplier of water treatment components operating in the domestic, industrial, and commercial sectors. We seek a dynamic Sales and Business Development Manager to join their team.
The Role:
The Sales and Business Development Manager will report to the Managing Director, acting as a trusted advisor to customers and building long-term profitable relationships.
The role includes:
* Developing new business and proactively managing sales pipeline
* Designing and executing sales strategies individually and with existing sales teams
* Identifying opportunities in both existing and complementary sectors
* Supporting bid processes including application, fulfillment, demos, and pricing
* Strategic account management
* Business development with existing customers, identifying upsell opportunities
* Customer relationship management
* Uncovering and sharing industry intel with Management and existing sales teams to inform business strategy
* Collaborating with product management to document customer trends and demands
* Creating marketing materials like white papers to share expertise and enhance market position
Required Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years of sales and business development experience in similar industries, providing direct support to customers during and post-implementation
* Ability to translate technical requirements and adjust communication approach depending on audience
* Strong technical and product background
* Demonstrated ability to develop strong customer relationships and understand their products and business strategies
* Ability to build internal and external relationships to support delivery and implementation
* Experience showcasing products and services as strategic fits for customers through sales presentations and networking events
* Ability to work individually and within a small team
* Ability to capture integrated opportunities with end-to-end solution delivery requirements
* Availability to travel to visit clients and attend conferences
