Job Summary:
A key member of the client's Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) in Cork, Ireland, will be responsible for ensuring 24/7/365 continuous monitoring, event security, and travel management support for the client.
Key Responsibilities:
* Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
* Operate the GSOC in shift patterns as required.
* Provide a high level of service to local and remote client sites and staff with an emphasis on the security and safety of client's staff, assets, and information.
* Monitor and analyze security alarms, notifications, and surveillance systems in real-time to detect and assess potential security incidents.
* Conduct advanced level event security monitoring and provide timely incident response according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Coordinate travel and journey management by assessing travel risks, provide real-time alerts, guidance to support employees during travel.
* Oversee access control operations to ensure only authorized personnel access sensitive areas.
* Maintain detailed logs and records of all monitored activities, incidents, and responses.
* Assist in preparing in-depth reports on GSOC activities and identifying trends or potential improvements.
* Serve as a backup for the GSOC Supervisor during non-working hours to ensure uninterrupted coverage and supervision.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including security personnel, emergency services, and other relevant entities, to ensure effective incident management and effective incident mitigation.
* Lead and mentor Junior GSOC Analysts, provide guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
* Participate in regular training and development sessions to stay updated on the latest security trends, tools, and best practices.
* Support the GSOC Manager with additional tasks and responsibilities as required, demonstrating strong leadership and strategic insight.
* Maintain active awareness of the monitored environment to promote safe and effective working.
* Maintain a conscientious and proactive approach to achieve excellent standards.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 4 years' experience in a security operational role, with exposure to advanced monitoring and incident management, relevant security-related certifications/qualifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) would be desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
* Highly effective communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
* Strong ability to manage high-pressure situations and make rapid, informed decisions.
* Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
* Ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports, independent of direction, where necessary.
