Our client, a well-established and highly respected accountancy practice in Cork City, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Corporate Tax Accountant to join their expanding tax team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, gain exposure to complex tax issues, and contribute to the continued success of a thriving firm.
The Role:
As a Corporate Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive corporate tax compliance and advisory services to a varied client base, including SMEs, large indigenous companies, and multinational corporations. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
* Managing the submission of tax returns to Revenue.
* Providing advice on a range of corporate tax matters, including tax planning, restructuring, and cross-border transactions.
* Identifying tax planning opportunities for clients and developing tailored solutions.
* Liaising with the Revenue Commissioners on behalf of clients.
* Keeping up-to-date with changes in Irish tax legislation and case law.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
* Assisting with tax audits and investigations.
* Mentoring and supporting junior members of the tax team (where applicable).
* Contributing to the overall development and growth of the tax department.
The Ideal Candidate:
* A qualified accountant with Irish tax qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent).
* Minimum of 1 years of post-qualification experience in corporate tax, ideally within an accountancy practice environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of Irish corporation tax legislation and compliance procedures.
* Proven ability to prepare and review complex tax computations and returns.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly and concisely to clients.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing workloads and meeting deadlines effectively.
* Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tax compliance tools.
* A proactive and commercially aware approach.
