Working in tandem with the Solar Operations Manager, you will deliver comprehensive Design and support to a multidisciplinary team, including project managers, customers and installers.
You will also work closely with the QA team to ensure successful site visits, audits, and documentation compliance.Your role encompasses all technical support activities for the solar energy division.
This requires collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders, problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive project success from conception to completion, aligning with business objectives and targets.
You will be expected to manage and generate project specifications, such as budgets based on supplier and customer specifications, and technical reports for each project.
As a Solar designer, you should be able to demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and adaptability while managing complex technical challenges within the solar industry.Here's what we're looking for: Able to create detailed sketches, drawings, and design specifications for photovoltaic solar projects.Confident in conducting wind and snow load analysis, irradiance studies, and shading tests to ensure structural integrity and efficiency.Strong communication skills, collaborating with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.Coordinate with procurement and installation teams to facilitate the onboarding of new installers and suppliers.Stay updated with latest technical advancements in photovoltaic (PV) solar technology and engineering practices, and apply advanced knowledge of Irish standards.Regularly inspect and monitor progress of existing PV systems, addressing any issues as they arise, and build expertise in various PV software systems.Provide Level 2 technical support to customers, project managers, and installers, including managing warranty replacements.Why should you apply?
