Opportunity's knocking for a professional and self-motivated individual to join a team of dedicated technicians on our client site. Our door is open to someone with electrical and mechanical qualifications/skills who has experience working in an industrial environment!
What you’ll do:
* Conduct scheduled tests and calibration procedures to verify the functionality and accuracy of electrical components within the door systems.
* Adjust settings as necessary to optimize performance.
* Have a good understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
* Fault find to component or circuit board level.
* Undertake planned preventative maintenance on a wide range of industrial doors, dock levellers, loading docks, and air locks.
* Interact with customers to understand their needs, provide technical support, and address any concerns or questions on systems.
* Role will include working on various specialized door types; training to be provided. Continual learning also offered to assist the role.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements and safety standards related to the scope of work.
* Make decisions within parameters set by the line manager using job/specialist experience.
* Produce technical reports that explain ongoing issues and faults.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and PPE in good working condition.
* Report to supervisor, keeping them informed of activity progress and highlighting any problems.
What you bring:
* Industrial door experience including installations, service, and repairs.
* Work experience on: GEZE, DORMA, GiLGEN, HORTON, Automatic Swing Door Operators, SUESTER, EFAFLEX, SAFE DOOR Roll Fast Doors.
* Experience in mechanical, commercial, and/or industrial maintenance roles.
* A good knowledge of electrical and mechanical fault-finding.
* Must have excellent communication skills, with an ability to work efficiently within a team and individually.
* A safe approach to using power tools and hand tools.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with automated door systems.
* Technical training in electrical systems preferred.
* A systematic approach to problem-solving.
* Familiar with the use of MS Office, with the ability to produce reports.
