Motor Vehicle Technician (Start date: Immediately)
Bloomfield Garage has an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Motor Mechanic / Technician, to join our busy and expanding team.
This job entails working in a very busy workshop, so experience is essential. Ongoing training can be provided. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of vehicle servicing and diagnostics and be capable of producing quality work in a busy fast-paced environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
1. Must have experience with German Manufactured Vehicles
2. Be a fully qualified Motor Vehicle Mechanic (Hybrid / Electric qualification would be an advantage)
3. Have a proven track record in Diagnostics and Modern Vehicle Electronics
4. Display an ability to work to High Standards
5. Work well under pressure
6. Be a team player
7. Have good Verbal and Written English
Key Responsibilities:
1. To Service & Repair vehicles in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and Bloomfield Garage quality standards
2. Using diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach to ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified.
3. Liaise with the service team to identify and clearly understand problems as and when required
4. Ensure full understanding of Latest Technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them
5. Carry out diagnosis/ repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification
6. Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others
7. Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified
8. Complete relevant service documentation in line with Bloomfield workshop requirements
9. Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times including the use of special and personal tools
10. Work with other workshop colleagues to provide excellent customer service. Share best practice when appropriate
