Commercial Manager North Dublin A leading Civils contractor is recruiting for a Commercial Manager able to take ownership over the preparation of proposals/bids, contract negotiation commercial risk assessments for a major long term project in the North Dublin area In your capacity as Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in the development of collaborative stakeholder relationships in support of successful account delivery, aiding change and conflict management to ensure operational demands of the projects are delivered. Role/Responsibilities Management of commercial and contractual aspects of relationships with customers, consultants and subcontractors Measure, price, negotiate and agree budgets and costs for variations to project scope Attend pre-contract meetings, liaise with a wide range of construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of agreed actions Produce and maintain up to date procurement schedules Compile and issue invitations to tender, analyse subcontractor quotations and make recommendations for placement of orders Assess subcontractor payment entitlement and process payments Carry out reconciliation of cost and value to date/forecast to keep the management team informed of project performance Work closely with contract and site management staff to support the smooth running of the site Requirements 10+ years of Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management experience Comprehensive experience working within the Civils Sector, ideally with NEC contracts Proven commercial and contractual acumen Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities with clear communications Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
