Who we are looking forThis Compliance Officer AVP role is based in Ireland will provide compliance advisory support as the second line of defence for the Irish entities providing products and services including the Depositary, Custody, Fund Administration, Transfer Agency, Middle Office and Global Delivery functions of State Street. The individual will be responsible for assisting in the provision of compliance advice to local management, assessment of applicable compliance risks, engaging in monitoring and testing of activities within the business, monitoring the regulatory developments, liaison with local regulators as well as assisting in the provision of an independent viewpoint on Compliance Risk and escalate material matters.This role is perfect for someone who is a highly organized and an efficient operator focused on producing top-quality, accurate work, and who is an excellent communicator and collaborator and thrives on building a network of colleagues across different teams and jurisdictions. This person must be driven and innovative by nature, always seeking to improve and streamline existing processes to find better solutions. Ideally, this person has experience in compliance, legal or audit function within the Financial Services sector and has worked within the Funds Industry. Preferred job location is Kilkenny, hybrid model 2-3 days on site.Main responsibilities:Assist and support the Ireland Compliance Advisory team in the assessment of Compliance risks and the successful and timely execution of the Compliance Oversight ProgramPrepare, coordinate, and monitor communications with the Central Bank of Ireland, developing and maintaining relationships with the business.Review and analyse regulatory and advisory activities, risk assessments and assist in the design, oversight and execution of testing activities to ensure a robust and comprehensive monitoring and testing planActively engage with the business unit in relation to their regulatory obligations, fostering an open, co-operative relationship, providing advisory support to assist with regulatory queries, and ensuring closure of any Compliance issues within a timely mannerKeep abreast of regulatory and legislative updates or changes. Contribute to analysis and interpretation of the regulation and legislation (new and current as required).
