I am currently working with a long-term manufacturing client in Ennis who is looking to appoint a new Finance Manager to oversee their Finance Function.
Reporting to the General Manager in Ennis and also the Financial Controller based in the USA, the Finance Manager will spearhead the Finance function and manage a team of 3 others. This role is based fully on-site in Ennis.
THE ROLE:
1. Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes.
2. Preparation of Monthly Variance, P&L and Balance Sheet for Group consolidation and internal commercial reporting purposes.
3. Cash management and treasury duties, liaising and engaging with Group Treasury function and external banks.
4. Ensuring compliance with all accounting, tax and legal requirements.
5. Developing and improving systems and controls on an ongoing basis.
6. Leading and developing the finance team.
7. Providing financial leadership and support to various company functions, teams, and departments.
8. Monitoring actual and forecasted costs and revenues (on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis).
9. Communicating and providing direction to Business Managers about financial trends and their business implications.
10. Providing decision support to various stakeholders (operations, site, project teams, functions).
11. Preparation and delivery of annual budget and forecasts.
12. Supporting Financial Awareness and CI/LIFE Initiatives across the site.
13. Any other ad hoc duties as required by the business.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, etc.)
2. 8+ years of senior experience as a Finance Manager or similar.
3. Experience in manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
4. Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with senior management/stakeholders. Confident in interfacing with and challenging senior personnel.
5. Must be technically astute with hands-on experience gained in a dynamic business environment.
