The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed, promoting a safe working environment for all employees, and assisting in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures. This position is crucial for monitoring compliance, conducting safety audits, and facilitating safety training across all departments.
Key Outcomes:
1. Provide support to ensure a safe working environment in compliance with government regulations and company procedures.
2. Provide support in developing and implementing solutions to resolve safety issues and prevent future occurrences.
3. Assisting with all compliance training across the Uniphar Ireland Supply Chain & Retail Division.
4. Ensuring all training paperwork is completed and stored safely in accordance with GDPR requirements.
5. Recording all training records and ensuring outstanding and refresher training is scheduled and completed.
6. Coordinating monthly Health and Safety meetings.
7. Assisting with safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
8. Ensure fire drills are completed as per statutory requirements and emergency response plans are reviewed, updated, and communicated.
9. Ensure all Health & Safety Risk Assessments, SOPs, Work Instructions are kept up to date on the company documentation system QPulse.
10. Any other reasonable requests.
Key Skills & Experiences:
1. 1-2 years' experience in a health and safety role within an FMCG environment.
2. Computer literate with strong experience in the MS suite of applications i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
3. Ability to work across the entire organisation and work closely with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
4. Must be able to co-ordinate multiple activities concurrently.
5. Hands on approach to problem solving and mind set, organised and methodical.
6. Demonstrated ability to extract critical information to enable effective and appropriate decision making.
