The Role:
The Transaction Services teams within Uisce Eireann Business Services are responsible for providing an effective and efficient service to the Uisce Eireann business in relation to Finance, HR, and Procurement transactional activities, in addition to a number of reporting and compliance activities for the Business Services unit as a whole. The HRTS team provide HR transactional support to Uisce Eireann. It will support the business across a wide range of activities including learning and development, pensions, payroll, schemes, and recruitment.
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Team Lead, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the internal and external recruitment for Uisce Éireann, whilst providing a positive candidate experience. They will develop key relationships with hiring managers, the HR Business Partners, the Transition and Integration team, and the wider talent acquisition team. They will co-ordinate the end-to-end recruitment process from advertisement of the role through to on-boarding of the new hire. They will be expected to develop direct sourcing channels and methods while identifying new and innovative sourcing approaches. A key component of the role will be to develop and implement a reporting system which will advise on the progress against key KPIs for the business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Partnering with HRBPs and the business to identify, attract and hire the best candidates for the business
Responsible for the execution of the Uisce Éireann resourcing plan ensuring business capability is maintained and delivery of business objectives are achieved through timely and suitability appointment of both permanent and temporary required resources
Working with the wider talent acquisition team to ensure delivery against resourcing plan and drive efficient service delivery and quality outputs
Development, maintenance and tracking against the resourcing plan to ensure it meets reporting needs
Working with the HRBPs, Transition and Integration team, and the business to ensure appropriate prioritisation to meet business objectives
Development of a recruitment statistics tracking and reporting system to facilitate the production of regular, accurate KPIs/ analytics and provision of meaningful interpretation to HR
Develop and utilise direct sourcing strategies and define innovative solutions to ensure consistent results and high-quality candidates for both standard and difficult to fill roles
Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates to support recruitment in a timely manner
Ensure that information related to employee visa and work permit information is regularly updated with any required renewals communicated to the HRBPs in a timely manner
Point of contact for all internal candidates and provide coaching and feedback when requested
Responsible for all vendor management related activities ensuring adherence to agreed processes and performance and the delivery of quality outputs
Responsible for the successful management of the Intern and Summer Student programmes including liaison with the HRBPs and the business in supporting the identification of requirements and the development of needs briefs and translating these into a strategy to attract suitable candidates
Contribute to the development and promotion of Uisce Éireann as an employer of choice via promotional campaigns, sourcing strategies, career days, graduate fairs, and liaison with academic institutions
Escalate risks and issues to the Talent Acquisition Manager as appropriate.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaboration with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business.
Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.
Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable and or relevant experience
Experience managing a team, with strong people, change management and conflict resolution skills
Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally
Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion along with the ability to communicate information to others
Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver results within a team.
Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions
Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements
Proactively identifying new areas of improvement and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job.
