OHC Bi Developer Role
We are recruiting a Bi Developer on a 12-month contract for a client programme where OHC is operating as a strategic partner.
This role involves replacing 4 separate systems operating across different energy types in different jurisdictions to a consolidated platform using MS Dynamic's 365.
The successful candidate will join our client's growing BI and Data team, working on the design and development of BI reports using SQL and Power BI to meet business requirements based on data from the new system.
The candidate will work closely with business users to define and design the reporting & BI requirements before building out the requirement using the data sources available.
Responsibilities:
* Develop reports and dashboards in Power BI to meet the requirements of business users and to deliver data-driven insights that will benefit the business
* Work with the business users to understand processes, define the requirements, and use your knowledge of the business data sources and data models to deliver high-quality output
* Liaise with business users and data engineers as and when new data is required to investigate the source, create data definitions if needed, and ensure the new data can be sourced, ingested and integrated into the data lake/warehouse
* Support data engineers to develop Data Warehouse and/or other solutions to optimise BI capabilities from the new system going forward
Qualifications & Experience:
* Relevant 3rd level degree or Certification
* 3-4 years experience in BI and Reporting roles
* Role specific (technical) knowledge / skills:
o Data Warehouse knowledge and practical experience incl. Fact & Dimension models
o Excellent skills and experience in both Power BI and T-SQL are essential
o Experience in documenting report requirements, data definitions, change control, and reporting processes
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
