Permanent Contract - 39 hours per week

Therapy Assistant Salary Scale: €34,434 to max €38,813 DOE
In line with the HSE National Programme for Progressing Disability Services, Kare is the Lead Agency for the provision of supports across South Kildare West Wicklow. The successful candidate will join an established Interdisciplinary CDNT, providing quality, evidenced based and family-centred supports for children and young people aged 0-18 years, who present with complex needs within an interdisciplinary framework, to support their development to enable active participation in community life.
This role includes clinical and administrative duties that support the CDNT team in providing a high-quality service to users.
Responsibilities
1. Follow plans as determined and delegated by a Therapist and collaborate with the child/young person.
2. Carry out duties related to the planning, organisation and maintenance of Therapy programmes.
3. Liaise with other staff and agencies in the provision of therapeutic programmes.
4. Prepare resources for assessment/intervention for clinic appointments, home visits and group interventions.
5. Work directly with child/young person under the direction of the Therapist.
6. Carry out the administrative and clerical duties required to support the CDNT team.
Requirements
1. Study towards a relevant Therapy degree or a minimum qualification of QQI Level 5 Major Award in Health Service Skills.
2. Experience Supporting Children/young People With Disabilities/complex Needs is Desirable.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Demonstrate effective time management.
5. Good administration skills.
6. Eligible to work in Ireland.
7. Own transport and a Full, Clean Drivers Licence.
