Head of Operations
The company is seeking an experienced professional to lead the operations department at our iconic visitor attractions in the mid-west of Ireland. This exciting opportunity involves strategic and operational management input across all areas, including H&S and facilities.
The successful applicant will work closely with management teams at each site, providing senior leadership and guidance to ensure a world-class visitor experience. Key responsibilities include:
* Operational and Health & Safety aspects of visitor experiences
* Managing workloads to maximise resource use and meet key objectives
* Leading the Operations Management Team
* Ensuring a great place to work culture through trust and respect
Main duties include:
* Proven track record in operational/H&S management with at least 3 years' experience
* Degree/Diploma in tourism/visitor management or related discipline; H&S qualification an advantage
* Experience in workforce management systems, facilities management, and maintenance
* Good knowledge of Building and Health & Safety Systems
* Coordination of operational activity across all sites
* Communication and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures
* Compliance with legislative standards and company expectations
* Rostering and supervision of staff
* Health & Safety onsite
* Dealing with scheduled services and crisis management
* Researching and introducing methods to improve service delivery
Requirements/Essential Skills and Attributes:
* Proven track record in operational/H&S management with at least 3 years' experience
* Degree/Diploma in tourism/visitor management or related discipline; H&S qualification an advantage
* Experience in workforce management systems, flexibility, and problem-solving approach
* Ability to demonstrate high teamwork and motivation skills
* Proven organisational skills and experience of multitasking
Qualifications:
* Third-level qualification in hospitality management, business, or related discipline
* Minimum 3 years satisfactory experience in operational management role
* Current full class B drivers' licence and access to own car
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Annual Leave: 25 days
