About Mount Hybla
The original house and lands at Mount Hybla were a Glebe for the Church of Ireland Parish of Castleknock & Mulhuddart. The house, overlooking Farmleigh Estate in the Phoenix Park, was built around 1750 and is a protected architectural structure. With beautiful recreational grounds and activity spaces, Mount Hybla creates a warm atmosphere for all residents and their requirements. The Role:
The Activities Coordinator assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates programs for resident activities which are multi-faceted, meet the resident's functional needs, and reflect interests of each resident.
Duties Include:
1. Plans, schedules, implements and evaluates a program of individual and/or group activities based on the resident's needs.
2. Coordinates and participates in resident activities designed to promote social interaction, reality orientation, and intellectual stimulation.
3. Provides residents who are confined or choose to remain in their rooms with in-room activities in keeping with lifelong interests.
4. Completes the activity assessment and care plan documentation following the gathering of information to reflect the individual resident's functional level, problems, needs, and interests.
5. Documents activity-related information on the residents' charts. Reviews staff's chart entries for completeness.
6. Develops a monthly calendar of planned activities.
7. Develops and reviews continuous quality improvement plans for the Activity Programme.
