The Role
As Credit Risk Manager, you'll be reporting to the Head of Credit Risk, playing a crucial role in shaping our risk management capabilities and fostering a culture of effective risk management. You will work alongside the senior management team to develop and implement credit strategies that enable sustainable growth while maintaining robust risk controls.
The position is based at the company's head office in Belfield Office Park, Clonskeagh, Dublin with 4 days (Mon to Thu) in the office and Friday remote.
Key Responsibilities
Lead credit assessment and underwriting of SME financing applications
Develop and maintain credit risk policies and procedures
Manage portfolio monitoring strategies and early warning systems
Active participation in Credit Committee decisions
Create and analyse portfolio performance metrics
Engage with institutional funders on credit-related matters
Drive innovation in credit assessment through technology integration
Mentor and develop junior team members
Support product development initiatives with risk insights
Liaise with external stakeholders including legal counsel
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum 5 years' experience in financial services within a credit risk capacity
Deep understanding of SME credit and transactional risk
Strong commercial acumen and analytical capabilities
Experience in receivables finance or working capital solutions preferred
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proven ability to balance risk and commercial considerations
Strong leadership and team development capabilities
Proficient in financial modelling and credit analysis
Tech-savvy with an interest in fintech innovation
Relevant qualifications in business, finance, or related field
