Field Service Engineer – Fire Protection Systems
Location: Dublin (with travel between Dublin and Cork) – company car provided
We are hiring a skilled Field Service Engineer/Pump Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair fire protection systems, including pumps, diesel engines, motors, and control panels. This role is ideal for individuals with a trade background such as construction plant fitter, generator service engineer, car mechanic, fitter-turner, truck mechanic, or field service technician.

Key Responsibilities:
* System Maintenance: Install, service, and repair fire protection systems, ensuring all equipment functions efficiently and safely.
* Inspections & Troubleshooting: Conduct routine inspections, diagnose issues, and execute effective repairs on pumps, diesel engines, and control panels.
* Customer Support: Provide technical guidance to clients, delivering high-quality customer service and maintaining strong relationships.
* Reporting: Document service activities, including performance reports and maintenance schedules.
* Safety Compliance: Follow all relevant safety protocols and company policies during on-site activities.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Trade Qualification: Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive qualification preferred. (After apprenticeship: 2 years – preferably)
* Relevant Experience: Hands-on experience with pumps, diesel engines, motors, or control panels.
* Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex systems.
* Communication Skills: Excellent ability to interact with clients and team members professionally.
* Travel Flexibility: Full driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively between Dublin and Cork.
