Project Supervisor Position at Data Centre in Berlin
We are seeking an experienced Project Supervisor to work on current European projects for one of the top hyperscale data centre providers globally. This is a unique opportunity to join an international organisation with a global footprint spanning five continents and sixty countries, responsible for providing scalable data centres for world-renowned clients.
This project involves working client-side with an ambitious data centre provider that plans to double its facilities in the EMEA region. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing end-to-end projects, including white space fit out within live operational data centres, electrical infrastructure installation, and contractor supervision.
Responsibilities:
* White space fit out within the 4 walls of a data hall within a live operational data centre facility
* Manage the end-to-end project from design handover through to handover
* Fitting out electrical infrastructure equipment to facilitate customers' hardware
* Servicing existing customers by reconfiguring their data halls and supporting new customers
* Managing contractors undertaking the works
* Collaborating with Health and Safety and Quality teams to ensure safe and dynamic contractor operations
* Handling multiple smaller high-volume projects simultaneously (6-12 projects)
* Example project: Expanding client space, installing racks, running new infrastructure, structured cabling, replacing raised floor, circuit breakers
Requirements:
* Previous experience working within white space environments (servers, storage, containment, network gear, cabling, racks, air conditioning units, power distribution systems)
* Background as a project manager, client implication manager, or project supervisor
* German language proficiency
* Experience in contractor supervision
* History of managing project programmes and budgets
* Health and safety and quality awareness
* Proactive approach to identifying and addressing contractor or safety issues
* Able to be on site in Berlin, Germany, 4-5 days per week
* Availability to start in March
