In this role you will split your time between two distinct teams: Underwriting Reporting & Analysis and Underwriting Management Information. As such, your tasks will be quite varied and may include:Supporting our Business Unit Analysts in assessing our financial counterparty riskAnalyzing, testing reports and reworking existing dashboards to improve efficiencyCollaborating with dedicated team members and working on commutation requests (when contractual obligations are to be discharged)Participating in a company-wide Power BI communityWorking with data tools to build data modelsProviding suggestions to automate/improve manual processes and implementing automation solutions where necessaryAbout the role:The PPM team currently consists of 19 experienced members and works closely with several other teams, such as our Underwriting, Operations, Actuarial and IT teams.Within Underwriting Reporting & Analysis and Underwriting Management Information you will interact with 9 individuals spread across 3 locations (Stamford, USA; Paris, France; Zurich, Switzerland) and representing 7 different nationalities.QualificationsAbout you:English (business fluency)Inquisitive with a learning mindsetExperience or interest in the insurance sectorUnderstanding of financial topics such as Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet analysisFamiliarity with Microsoft Excel / Power Query / Power BI (or similar tools)High-level understanding of relational database concepts / data modellingYou are a curious and analytical person who has a desire to learn about the workings of the reinsurance industry whilst applying and developing your skills.
