Job Description
As a Portfolio Manager, you will oversee a diverse range of clients across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage monthly and quarterly management accounts for clients.
* Review and advise on Unaudited Year-End Statutory Accounts.
* Develop and implement systems of financial control for clients.
* Provide Company Secretarial Advice and Compliance services, including maintaining company registers and minutes as needed.
Accounting Technology Strategy
Drive the firm's accounting technology strategy to best serve clients and manage the rollout of new accounting solutions.
Financial Performance Management
* Assist with managing the team's financial performance, including fee agreements and billing, cash collections, and recoverability of WIP.
Team Development
* Participate in coaching, mentoring, and appraisal of staff members.
Requirements
* ACA or ACCA qualification with a minimum of 7 years PQE.
* At least 5 years of relevant post-qualified work experience in practice with strong technical knowledge and financial/management accounts expertise.
* Proven management skills and behaviors.
* Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
* A strong market and commercial awareness.
* Familiarity with accounting software packages such as Surf, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar, with a high aptitude for using new software.
* The ability to use and implement AI-based accounting software, accounting tools, and connected app functionality in-house and with clients.
* A client-oriented approach with initiative, enthusiasm, and problem-solving attitude.
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with maximum discretion.
* Capacity to exercise good judgment and decision-making when necessary.
