The School of Physics, through its Centre for Physics in Health and Medicine (CPHM), has created a multi-disciplinary environment for researchers to translate fundamental physics understanding and emerging technologies into health and clinical applications.
Role Overview
* Establish a research programme of international repute in the implementation of advanced analysis techniques in diagnostic imaging, nuclear medicine, and radiation oncology physics.
* Seek funding at national and international levels.
* Show leadership in building a research group.
* Publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
* Supervise research students in our MSc and PhD programmes.
* Establish collaborations with research groups in the School of Physics, UCD, and beyond.
Tertiary Education Responsibilities
* Coordinate and deliver elements of the School's undergraduate programmes.
* Deliver classroom and laboratory teaching.
* SUPVISE project and group-work.
Requirements
* A recognised international research profile as an emerging leader in the application of AI and other advanced analysis techniques in Medical Physics.
* Evidence of publications, clinical development, and funding success.
