Engineering Lead Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to oversee the effective and efficient operation of our highly automated 24/7 Production and Bottling Department. The successful candidate will provide clear leadership to a team of up to 20 technicians, setting standards, coaching, and developing them through regular one-to-ones and formal performance reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide clear leadership to a team of up to 20 technicians
* Ensure effective training, competency assessments, and personal development plans for each team member
* Oversight of preventive maintenance schedules, equipment upgrades, downtime reduction, and proactive management of the production process
* Lead initiatives to reduce energy consumption, implement water-saving technologies, and develop waste reduction programs, aligning with our sustainability goals
* Collaborate with the R&D team to bring new soft drink formulations from concept to production
* Stay informed on emerging technologies and lead pilot testing for new products
Requirements/Skills:
* 3-5 years of experience as an Engineering Lead/Supervisor in a production/manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of production processes within the food/soft drinks production environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to utilize resources effectively, display initiative, and apply problem-solving skills
* Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
* Experience leading a team and a strong understanding of how to develop a high-performing team
Working Conditions:
The successful candidate must be able to undertake a shift work pattern over 5 days.
The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
